What we offer

Abdominal Ultrasound

An upper abdominal ultrasound evaluates organs such as the liver, spleen, kidneys, gall bladder, pancreas, and aorta. To ensure clear images, fasting is required for six hours before your appointment, and you should avoid eating, smoking, or chewing gum during this time. You may take your usual medications with a small amount of water prior to the exam.

Renal Ultrasound

A renal ultrasound assesses the urinary tract, including the kidneys, bladder, and prostate. To ensure accurate imaging, you should drink 750mls of water one hour before your appointment to have a full bladder, and avoid emptying it unless extremely uncomfortable. Retaining as much urine as possible is important for the scan's success. If your bladder isn’t sufficiently full, the scan may be delayed or rescheduled.

Pregnancy dating Scan

A pregnancy dating ultrasound is performed to confirm your pregnancy, estimate gestational age, and check the baby’s heartbeat and development. For the best results, please drink 750ml of water one hour before your appointment and avoid emptying your bladder until after the scan. A comfortably full bladder helps provide clear images of your uterus and early pregnancy. If your bladder isn’t sufficiently full, the scan may need to be delayed or rescheduled.

Vascular scan

A vascular ultrasound assesses the arteries and veins throughout the body and is also known as a duplex or Doppler scan. This test measures blood flow and helps detect or monitor a range of circulatory conditions. Common vascular scans include deep vein thrombosis (DVT) studies and carotid artery assessments. No special preparation is required for this examination.

Thyroid Ultrasound

A thyroid ultrasound is a safe and simple scan used to examine your thyroid gland and the nearby structures in your neck. Your doctor may recommend this scan if you’ve noticed swelling, a lump, or discomfort in the front of your neck, if you’re having trouble swallowing, or if your blood tests show thyroid changes. It can also help investigate signs or symptoms of thyroid-related conditions. There’s no special preparation needed.

Testes Ultrasound

A testes ultrasound is a safe and straightforward scan used to assess the scrotal area, including the testesepididymis, and surrounding structures. Your doctor may refer you for this scan if you’re experiencing pain, swelling, or discomfort in the scrotum, or if a lump has been felt by you or your doctor. There’s no special preparation needed for this examination.

Musculoskeletal ultrasound

A musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive imaging scan used to examine the body's joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. It is highly effective for diagnosing a variety of conditions, including sports injuries, work-related strains, and the underlying causes of ongoing muscle or joint pain. No special preparation is required for this procedure; you can simply attend your appointment as normal.

Salivary Gland Ulrasound

A salivary gland ultrasound is used to create images of the three major glands—the parotid, submandibular, and sublingual—along with adjacent structures in the neck. Depending on your doctor's referral, this scan may assess the side of your face, the area under your jaw, or inside your mouth. No special preparation is required, but it is recommended to wear loose clothing around your neck and remove any necklaces before your appointment

Hernia Ultrasound

A hernia ultrasound is a dynamic, non-invasive scan used to assess the abdominal and groin areas for a hernia, which occurs when internal tissue pushes through a weak spot in the muscle wall. This scan is effective at examining common hernia locations, such as the groin (inguinal/femoral) or near the belly button (umbilical). During the exam, you may be asked to cough or strain to help make the hernia more visible. No special preparation is needed, but you should wear clothing that allows for easy access to the area being scanned.
